you make me laugh

.
Adrianna has such a quirky sense of humour! We were hanging out at the lake a few weeks ago with the cousins and she started messing around with the snorkel and goggles. When she realized I was taking pictures, she really started hamming it up! By the end of it, I was laughing so hard, the last pictures were too blurry to print! I love that my girl is secure enough with herself to be able to let go, act silly and enjoy it.
.
Having a sense of humour is one of the most important things (in my opinion) for dealing with this crazy world in which we live. I hope Adrianna never loses hers!

Backyard Bambi

.
Two weeks ago I was walking through the family room downstairs and I happened to look out the window and what do I see? Bambi! Well, maybe not Bambi, but you know what I mean!
.
Ofcourse, being a scrapper, I had to run for my camera! I was actually able to open the back door and walk out on our deck to take these photos. Bambi (c'mon, humour me!) quietly munched away on the grass and clover for about 15 minutes before walking off into the trees.
.
Guess it's a good thing I'm a scrapper and not a gardener - or else my reaction to having a deer in my yard may have been slightly different!

Reminiscing

So yesterday I decided to clean up the office a little bit (that's where we keep our computer). Of course, I needed to take a few breaks ;D So, during that time, I decided to clean up my pictures on the computer a little bit. I even went so far as to create a dedicated "Layouts" folder! Yep, pretty proud of myself for that!
.
After I put my LO's in the folder, I looked back over them. Some of them made me laugh, or groan, or even brought a tear to my eye because of what they represent to me. So, I thought I would share a few of my faves here with you.
.

God bless my hubby that after all these years of putting up with me, he still loves me! And yes, I get this look on a daily basis (okay, sometimes on an almost hourly basis!). But really, it just makes life more interesting, right? At least, that's what I tell him!
.

This is one of the most powerful and meaningful songs I know. Just thinking about it brings tears to my eyes. And when I think about how it applies to my life, well, let's just say I always need some Kleenex.
.

This picture is almost exactly like the very first ultra sound image we saw of Tanner! Seriously! And this picture makes me laugh every time I see it!
.

My little girl - growing up so fast. She was so little on her first day of kindergarten (really - she was only about 3'6" tall!) and it was so hard to put her on the school bus for her very first day of elementary school. And, it was every bit as hard to put her on the school bus for her very last day of elementary school :( Now she is 13 and is 5'6" tall - but she will always be my little girl!
.

One of my favourite pics ever of my kids. When I count my blessings, I always count how lucky I am that my kids love each other so much. That is what makes it all worth while in the end.
.
Well, that's the end of my reminiscing for today. Who knows, maybe I'll share some more sentimental moments later on. If you don't mind, that is!
.
TFL!

Waterlogged Waterfight

.
Leave it to my kids to decide that cooling off in a lake isn't enough on a hot day. Nope, you need to have a water fight while IN that lake!
.
Thanks to our waterproof camera, Adrianna was able to get these shots - and some more action shots that will be coming to a LO soon!
.
The upside of a waterfight in a lake is there is no mess to clean up... ;D

Can you spot the Difference?

.

Tannner and his littlest cousin are so much alike, it is sort of freaky. From personality to sense of humour to little quirks, sometimes I just have to shake my head. Although they are almost 7 years apart in age, I am sure their souls are twins!

Love Birds

.
Wow, I'm on a roll with the LO's!!
.
This is a pic of my Dad & Mom that I took just before their birthdays this spring. We were planning a surprise party for them and I needed a picture. After I printed it, I knew I had to scrap it.
.
My parents have been together for more than 44 years - they have had their ups and downs, but they stuck together through it all. Amazing people. Amazing role models.
.
I'm a lucky girl.

True Patriot Love

.
I admit, I'm not the most patriotic soul. But I do love my country.
.
I love the scenery, the vast mountains, lush green and even the dessert (yes, we have dessert here!). I have been to all the provinces except Newfoundland. I have not been to the territories. Yet. I love the changing seasons, the glorious heat of summer, the fluffy white snow of winter. I love the brilliant colours of autumn and the fresh green of spring. I love the freedom our country offers.
.
I am definitely proud to be Canadian.

Oh

.
Journalling:
.
M: What's that?
T: Um, what?
M: Oh, I don't know, that hole in your blind?
T: Oh, well, it's a square.
M: Yes. And why is there a square cut into your blind?
T: So I can see if it's light or dark out.
.
Oh.
.
I guess I should be thankful he never took scissors to his hair...

Lazy Blogger

That's me! But, school is now done, I have had a week to decompress and I am feeling the urge to scrap!
.
Yay to summer!
